The Cutting Garden Diary – March
March is when the cutting garden truly begins to come alive. The days grow longer, and the first signs of spring bring a vibrant energy to the garden. For couples getting married in the Lake District, March is a magical time to begin thinking about the flowers that will make your day unique.
Daffodils and tulips are making their first appearance, adding pops of color to the garden beds and to my early spring wedding arrangements. Their bright hues and cheerful blooms are perfect for couples who want their wedding to feel fresh, joyful, and full of seasonal charm. Inside the greenhouse, I’m nurturing sweet peas and hardy annuals that will soon add height and movement to summer bouquets.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that embraces the beauty of nature, March is the time to start planning your flowers. I work with the rhythm of the seasons to create florals that feel natural, whimsical, and deeply connected to the landscape. Whether you’re envisioning a wildflower-inspired bouquet or a more structured garden-style arrangement, I’m here to help bring your floral dreams to life.
Until next month,
