The Cutting Garden Diary – September
September is a month of quiet transformation in the Lake District, and it’s a reflection of where we are with our cutting garden. We’re in our second year of growing, and as the garden transitions from summer to autumn, we’re learning so much about how to adapt to the changing seasons and make the most of what the land provides. It’s a constant balancing act, but there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the garden respond to the care we’ve put into it.
The dahlias are still holding strong, but as the days grow shorter and the air starts to cool, we’re noticing a shift toward deeper, richer tones in the garden. Burgundy, plum, and rust-colored blooms are starting to take center stage in our wedding designs, perfect for couples who want a more autumnal feel for their Lake District wedding.
It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come since last year. We’re still learning, experimenting, and making adjustments as we go, but this journey is all part of creating something truly special for our couples. Our garden-inspired wedding florals are a reflection of the wild, untamed beauty of the Lake District, and we love how our couples embrace that spirit in their own unique ways.
Until next month,
